Bad Attitude + Bad Fashion = Trainwreck!

Rihanna has a really arrogant attitude & a terrible fashion sense (well, calling it sense is pushing it, but anyway). My husband is a T.V. producer, & he was producing a concert in the Caribbean for a network here in the US. Now, if you know my husband, he is the most respectful & gentle person to everyone he meets. Anyway, He ran into Rihanna in a hotel elevator on his way to the concert, & no one else was in it, so he decided to ask here if she was ready for the show. She just stared ahead, blatantly ignoring him, as if she was too good to answer him. How rude. (He also mentioned her & her dancers were all acting like power-tripping a**es on the plane back to NYC).

Now, If your going to have a bad attitude, at least make sure you look good while you're doing it. Oh by the way, did you check out how bad her nails look? They just look way too long & thick. I don't mind gold, but long & thick? Yucky.

I heart L.A.

Call me shallow, ungrateful, whatever you want, but I prefer L.A. any day over NYC. I live just 20 minutes outside of Manhattan, & only go there when absolutely necessary. Don't get me wrong, it's convenient for shopping or whatever else you may need...but everything in L.A. is newer, the weather is sooo much better, the fashion is better (in my opinion), & the mindset is more laid back than in the rat-race of the city. How can you possibly be in a bad mood when you live in all that sunshine?? So my question is: what is all the hype about NYC? You can see lights, tall buildings, & bad fashion almost anywhere.

Done with the skinny's, please...

Okay, this is a major fashion issue in my scientific opinion, & its been bothering me for months on end... the skinny jean was a fabulous idea when Kate Moss was wearing them around London back in '03 or '04... it was so long ago I don't even remember the year!!! Anyway, not only did it take forever for everyone to start following fashion, but not everyone realized that just because you wear the skinnies, you're not going to magically look like Kate Moss once they're on!!! Then, when the beautiful high waisted bell bottoms came out, I was ecstatic (the skinny is FINALLY over, I thought). But to my amazement, everyone ignored them, except celebs who were wearing them & looking great.

Please, everyone, onward march...let's find some newer trends to follow, or better yet, let's have the confidence to do our own thing when it comes to fashion!!!

Leave Lindsey Alone!

What can I say?? The girl has great style. Everyone should get off her case about her 'destructive behavior'...she just likes to party. Oh, & if she wants to have a girlfriend, that's her business too...she doesn't care who you're sleeping with.

Jelly Belly!!

Hey, I told you I was obsessed with anything vintage (looking, that is). Old school, 80's...call it what you want. I'm all about it. These are yet another summer favorite, my Jelly sandals (as we used to call them, & wear them when I was a kid). They cost approx. $8, & you can get them at Target (that's Tar-jay if you please).

Scary movie, anyone?

I never go to the movies. Ever. But when I saw the trailor for the movie 'The strangers', I HAD to see it. This movie had me sleeping with one eye open that night, AND I was too freaked out to take my doggy outside to go potty early the next morning (Poor guy was scratching the bed for a good hour before it got light enough out to take him). My favorite part was when the girl keeps knocking on the door asking, "Is Tamryn here?" And Liv Tyler's like "You already came by here" (can't this crazy b**ch take no for an answer??) ....then the girl says "Can I come in?"...And Liv Tyler's like "no"....then... so scary.

Back to the 80's, & I'm coming!

Okay, so I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I'm loving the old school rock tees. Like, really loving the old school rock tees. It just takes me back to my pre-teen head banging wannabe days...so I'll be rocking one of these as soon as I can get my hands on the perfect one. Which one will it be? Poison, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Motley Crue....hmmm....

Favorite Summer Threads at House of Life!

These are my absolute favorite pieces for summer '08 at House of Life!! Boxfresh Dancer 3 1/4 pant, styled with Altru '84 Los Angeles tee. Boxfresh is a great streetwear line out of the UK...& they rock!!! The tee is $33, & the pants are $82.You can get these cool summer threads at my spot: house-of-life.com!! These pants have the coolest texture, & they're super light & airy for those hot summer days!! The Altru tee is a vintage wash (which I'm obsessed with at the moment), made to look as though you've really found it at some out of the way thrift shop, but without actually having to wear someone else's old clothes...loves it.
